They need to prosecute her. The amount of money and time she caused the Georgia police to spend is ridiculous. They need to send a message that this is not acceptable.

nationwide attention...ends up in New Mexico. If I was the dude...I'd bail on her @ss.

No need for that.

Apparently the news said something about her having problems the family didn't know about? Who knows, but she should be embarassed and they should prosecute her problems or not...

There's too much we don't know and don't need to know about this story. It's their business. If the people who are involved in the search for her aren't planning to prosecute, shouldn't that be enough for us? I mean, she is alive after all. Would it have been better if she had died? Maybe it was in an abusive relationship??? It sounds like her family is there to give her love and support. She didn't end up raped and murdered, I for one am glad.

No matter what was going on she had no right to do this. How could she put her family and friends through this? What other crimes could have been worked on or prevented if law enforcement weren't spending their time looking for someone who wasn't even missing? How much money was spent on this search, again for someone who wasn't even missing? She obviously has issues but at a minimum she should have to repay the city, county & state for the cost of this search.

Because of her cold feet it is estimated that she costs the tax payers about $1 million. Who knows if any crimes could have been prevented while those 100 or so police were out looking for her cold a$$ feet.

I say prosecute her.

Saw GMA this morning, and it looks like the whole ordeal was premeditated. She pre-purchased the bus ticket and stashed money away for her get away. Apparently her feet were getting cold for rather a long time.

Prosecute---YES, Jail Time---NO, Heavy Fine---ABSOLUTELY!!!!

Just another case where the media makes a case of a missing well-off white girl with a good human interest story (bride-to-be) a national story. I think the media was hoping for another husban/boyfriend kills wife/girlfriend and claims she disappeared. Sound familiar.

Foxnews was even doing live inerviews with the fiancee, the pastor, family at 1 am in the morning on Saturday once she called and they found out she was alive in NM.

What about all the other women and children that go missing every day of the year?

I think the family should have to foot the bill for some of this. Both families are influential and I think the reason the police rushed in quickly to look for her and then after only 2 days declare it a criminal matter. They may have spent most of the police budget for the year on this care.

Anyone else think she is a dead ringer for WOAI weatherperson Jennifer Broome?

Just change the haircolor, dead ringer especially in the eyes.

Should she be punished?

Yes. She cost law enforcement a lot of money in overtime, etc.

But also, NO........

Her punishment will be that if her fiance dumps her, no guy will ever propose to her again....they won't trust her to show up at the altar.

Here's my take from being a recent newlywed. The whole year I planned my wedding, there were moments of pressure but I got through them. A month before our wedding is when the nervous knots started and people from my job can testify that I was tense.

Taking the week off before and after my wedding really helped. Thats when I started feeling calm because everything was falling into place.

It was all worth it to me.
