Heineken USA has begun distributing the Mexican dark beer brand, Indio, in California and Texas.
The beer has been brewed and sold in Mexico by Cuauhtémoc-Moctezuma since 1893 and will come in 6-pack and 12-packs. Heineken USA started distributing Indio in San Antonio last month, according to a news release.
Cuauhtémoc-Moctezuma is a subsidiary of Heineken International and also produces Carta Blanca, Sol, Dos Equis and Tecate.
Cities where the brand will be sold are Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and Austin.
