Granada movie theater: ![]() Santikos Theatres Announces New Theatre in Southwest San Antonio . . . SAN ANTONIO, TX , June 24 – Santikos Companies proudly announces that construction is to commence soon on their latest entertainment and retail center. The 27 acre Granada Development will be anchored by a 16 screen theatre and will include retail shops and restaurants. The complex will be located in far West San Antonio on the South East corner of Potranco Road and Loop 1604. The theatre will be constructed first and is expected to begin this July. The ground breaking celebration will take place at that time. Movie goers from all over the West and Southwest region of the city as well as neighboring Castroville and Hondo can expect to be seeing great movies in the beautifully themed Granada 16 Theatre in 2005. This grand theatre will feature highly themed, elegant interior and exterior design with Granada, Spain in mind. The projects architects are the nationally renowned firm of Hodges and Associates. The Granada 16 Theatre will posses all of the latest state-of-the-art equipment and amenities. The auditoriums will feature stadium style seating with rock-back chairs, the latest in Digital Sound technologies and state-of-the-art projection. Additionally the new complex will feature a Café serving Starbucks Coffee and a variety of specialty items. The Granada 16 Theatre will also be home to an entertainment area which will feature a wide variety of the latest interactive video games as well as party rooms for birthday parties and special events. Santikos Theatres will definitely pull out all the stops when it comes to customer service and convenience. Santikos Theatres is the only locally owned and operated Theatre Company in San Antonio. It is also the largest Theatre Company in town consisting of 81 screens, 4 of which belong to the only Drive-In Theatre in Bexar County.
