...well, we went to ONE club...The Martini Club, on Rector St. behind North Star Mall. And we saw one person there that I must share the details about. 1. ![]() Leisure Suit Larry This guy is not a myth. As the band began to play "Copacabana", we spotted him. He was a man about 45-50 years old. Box dyed hair, and a cheap fake tan. Wearing a blue leisure suit, and a white wide collared shirt with the top 4 buttons unbuttoned. He even had the gold chain on. He was wearing a hat that one would wear while sitting on the beaches of Miami sipping on Pina Coladas while wait to hear from their little friend, Scarface Tony. I swear to you, Leisure suit Larry made the rounds about the bar about 10 times just while we were there. He went around shaking stranger's hands like he was meeting an old friend he hadn't seen in 25 years. And he hit on EVERY single woman in the bar. There was a woman sitting by the dance floor. Larry walked right over to her, yanked her out of her chair and started dancing with her. And the girl danced with him til the end of the song!?! Dizz and I just looked at each other like ??? Then there were 2 single women sitting right in front of us. These women were HOT! If I were I guy I would probably want to bone them myself. Well, our good friend Larry walked right up to them, sat down right next to one of them, put his arm around her and started talking to her. Within like 2 minutes he was whispering things into her ear. The poor girl looked really uncomfortable eyes , and so did the other girl. The girl endured about 5-7 minutes of Larry whispering sweet nothings into her ear, when she spotted a table in the very front of the room close to the bandstand. She got up, worked her way to the table and screamed across the room to her friend, "I found a table up here, hurry up and grab our purses and get over here." It was like she dumped a ton of bricks on poor Larry. Or so she thought. Our friend, Leisure Suit Larry, just blew them broads off and continued to booze and schmooze like nothing happened. We didn't know whether to admire him or be scared of him.

I would only go on a Friday or Saturday. The owner and his band play on those nights - Wayne Harper. Its like a Vegas act but he is VERY good IMO. He plays just about every style of music from Jazz, bluegrass, country, rock, etc...etc I had seen him at the Oyster Bake this year and thought he was good so we went to check it out Its a mixed crowd. There is some older people there but l saw lots of people in my age group there too (upper 20's - 30ish) Its certainly popular...it was PACKED. Standing room only when we left I laughed my ass off as this guy we saw...he really was a "player" he was making the rounds in his ceap suit and it was worth going just to see that |

He's good alright. I've been going there for a few years now. Friday and Sat nights are the only times to go but you better get there early and get a good table right up front. I've always had a blast there....beer, good music, good friends, good times.
