CBS 5 News)--The man called the greatest actor of all time has died.


CBS 5 News has learned Marlon Brando passed away Thursday in Los Angeles.


Brando may be best known for his roles in "The Godfather" and "On the Waterfront". He won oscars for his work in those 2 films.


The cause of death is still unknown.


Marlon Brando was 80 years old.

sad, sad day. Marlon Brando was "the man". He was the greatest actor of all-time. From The Godfather to Don Juan de Marco. The man just owned the screen. He will be missed. R.I.P.

The first Brando movie I ever saw was in fact Julius Caeser, and his acting gave another dimension to the work of Shakespeare. He's beyond a legend of the screen.

for Brando hell was here already with his son going to prison for killing his stepsister's boyfriend and then the sister killing herself. I was watching an interview with him and he said he had much pain in his life...........
