6.- José Antonio Trabal y Sans (1-7-1929 a 12-8-1933)

El 1-7-1929 se celebra Asamblea en Barcelona, y la Federación Catalana, habilmente dirigida por Trabal y sus colaboradores, consigue que la Sede se traslade a Barcelona mediante el argumento de una "refundación". Trabal es elegido presidente interino hasta una Page Rankingóxima Asamblea extraordinaria señalada para el 12-1-1930.
En la Asamblea del 12-1-1930 es nombrado oficialmente presidente y se traslada la Federación a Barcelona, a la calle París, 206, de Barcelona.
Se produce un gran cisma entre las federaciones y en la Asamblea que se celebra el 23-2-1930 en Vigo (considerada ilegal por la Federación Española, ya que había suprimido la Asamblea de los campeonatos de Cross) las federaciones presentes acuerdan crear la "Unión de Federaciones Atléticas Españolas" integrada por la mayoría de las federaciones regionales. Felizmente su vida fue muy corta y poco a poco todas volvieron a la Federación Española.
Trabal presenta su dimisión el 31-7-1931, que no le es aceptada.
En la Asamblea del 12-3-33 en Barcelona, se prorroga por otros cuatro años la residencia del Comite en Barcelona y se ratifica el nombramiento de Trabal que había presentado de nuevo su dimisión el 31-7-32.
El 12-8-33 se reproduce la dimisión de Trabal ahora ya de forma definitiva.
José A. Trabal nació en 1896 y falleció en 1980 en Puigcerdá, era médico de profesión y militante del partido "Estat Catalá", que encabezaba Francisco Maciá y que en las elecciones del 14-4-1931 se integró en Ezquerra Republicana Catalana, siendo elegido Diputado de las Cortes Españolas hasta el 19-11-1933.

Dr. Trabal received his M.D. from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in San Juan. After training in Aerospace Medicine in the U.S. Air Force, which included a Master's Degree in Public Health from Harvard University, he completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco. He is certified by the American Board of Preventive Medicine and the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Trabal joined our department in 1985; he is the Director of Ambulatory Care Services. His interests include health care administration, menopause, and cervical dysplasia.

This is a very small world we live in. I have a friend who works
at the Post exchange on Ft Meade. She noticed that she
was cashing a check for some guy named trabal, She remembered
my last name was trabal, She took his number down and I contacted him.
Turns out we are cousins. He came by my place and I was showing
him some pictures of one of my trips to puerto rico, and I was
hanging out with 5 girls..he looks at me and say...Dude those
2 girls are my sisters!!! lol...
