This is something the NBA as a business have to think. It's not only money, the world is more than America. When we discussed the NBA Champions Vs the World Champions issue, I noted that something cultural is very deep inside the American culture psyche.

As a business the NBA have to start to think how to regain the prestige. Looks like the NBA is not only paying, relatively, cheap. Is also that the prestige is low.

Of course there is big money and a big market ( by numbers also) in the rich European and Asian markets, so it's a matter of time that those leagues start not only to lure the scrubs, the discontents but also the Stars ending their careers, much like the MSL lure old world soccer stars with good contracts. That will means that young Euro players will have contact with the "NBA" game early, and that will help develop them better and faster.

Globalization really caught up with the NBA, but not like Stern dreamed, so the NBA have to think before being engulfed by the world economy dynamics.
