Yes Baynes is not a direct replacement for Blair, but as has been said the reason he was kept was a lower contract to go with height and bigger body to match up against bigs like gasolx2 and Dwight..... I am an Oz homer but I am not saying a straight up match but at first as a back up so we don't lose length and eventually he could get his game together to match his physical attributes.

The Spurs don't need scoring out of him as such they need D, boards and finishing on cutbacks and roll situations, I think he is doing a decent job of that.
