Boston wants to trade --- any takers??

Celtics reportedly want to trade bad contracts they got from Nets. Any Takers?

As much as landing Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett legitimized the Nets as a team to be reckoned with, their trade with the Celtics was almost as important for the fact they dumped the two worst contracts on their roster — Kris Humphries (one year, $12 million) and the awful Gerald Wallace deal (three years, $30 million remaining).

Now Boston wants to find a sucker trade partner to take on those deals, reports A. Sherrod Blakely at CSNNE.com.
However, CSNNE Celtics insider Sherrod Blakely has learned that the team may be looking to deal those two…

The Celtics currently have more players than they can keep on the active roster, thus the possibilities of trades.
It’s not going to be easy to move either of these guys, especially Wallace.

Obviously you can move the two (Boston just did), but your trading partner is going to want a sweetener. Or two. Meaning Boston is going to throw in some picks or young players, the kinds of assets they are trying to stockpile to rebuild (don’t call it tanking).

It was obvious the moment the Celtics made this trade they would try to move Humphries and Wallace. They are anchors on the rebuilding effort. It’s just not going to be that easy to find a deal that works for Boston.
