The rebounding battle is a piece of the bigger battle for the Spurs against the Heat which is controlling their transition game. Turning defensive rebounds into fast break points is a specialty for the Heat, but fortunately, transition defense has always been a hallmark for Pop coached teams. The other side of that transition battle is avoiding turnovers in which the Spurs were PHENOMENAL. Only 4 TOs the whole game.
One other note, LBJ was huge on the boards with 18 rebounds, but that is bad for the Heat. Bosh needs to be getting those rebounds and throwing the outlet pass to LeBron to spark the break. If I'm Spo, that is the first adjustment I'm making.
