Tillery with a strong interview of Lionel, who makes it clear he does not support a Rudy trade during the season, and takes shot at John Hollinger.

In an interview, Lionel did NOT seem to object to a Gay trade during the offseason. Just doesn't want to break up team now.

But, yes, he's stubborn as hell and it'll be interesting to see how he works with new management.

By the way, Lionel has been tremendous for the Grizzlies. Team takes after him. Players appreciate his candor.

More Lionel: "There's a lot to be said about stats but there's a lot to be said about heart, toughness, courage and bravery."

Lionel on analytics: "I'm trying to still figure out when the Oakland Athletics have won a world championship."

Telling that Lionel talks about Rudy's size, quickness, ability to defend Durant/LeBron/etc. Lionel cares about defensive matchups most of all.
