Union Olimpija today sent a tweet farewelling Baynes, suggesting the reports of the 26-year-old's move to the big time were spot on.
"Thank you for everything and good luck - @aronbaynes!" the team posted.
According to the reports, the 2.08m-tall centre has been offered a $3.5 million contract over four years.
In 10 Euroleague games this season, the Cairns product averaged 13.8 points and 9.8 rebounds a game for Union Olimpija and has earned a reputation as being the best big man in the competition.
