Firing Comes After Humiliating 45-7 Loss To Packers
Wade Phillips has been fired as head coach of the Dallas Cowboys and offensive coordinator Jason Garrett will take over, according to a television sports report in Dallas.
CBS-11 reported Monday that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones made the move following the team's humiliating 45-7 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night. The loss left the team with a very disappointing 1-7 record.
After the game, Jones said he "can't stomach" his team's performance and that "people will suffer" because of it.
The Cowboys have scheduled a news conference for 4 p.m. Monday.
