This article illustrates three things:
1. Tim Duncan's value to the Spurs exceeds anything people can imagine. He's hobbled and we're struggling mightily.
2. Pop is stubbornly coaching us into a hole. He's not playing people he should be playing (Bowen and Hill), yet he chooses to play Mason at back-up point (a disaster) and chooses to play Udoka significant minutes (a greater disaster).
3. Don't kid yourself. Pop has four rings because of Tim Duncan, not because he's a genius coach.
