Prices are pretty much the same. Overall its cheaper in terms of dollars.
Language wasn't too bad. In my hotel most of the people spoke english. Athenea helped translate for me when we were out together. I know enough Spanish to get by with a taxi or at a restaurant. Everyone understood me i think, but I had a hard time understanding them. The hardest part was on the phone. I can't understand a word of Spanish over the phone, so it was pretty futile to call someone myself.
